Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. This statement sets out our commitment and how to raise a concern with us.
Last updated: 17 August 2026
The National College of Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk. We expect everyone who works with us — staff, Professional Learning Mentors, associates and employer partners — to share that commitment.
We work in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education, the Care Act 2014 where adults at risk are involved, and the Prevent duty. Apprentices are supported to understand safeguarding, Prevent, British values, online safety and healthy relationships throughout their programme.
If someone is in immediate danger, call 999.
Do not send safeguarding details through a web enquiry form. To raise a concern with us, call 020 8221 9089 and ask for the Designated Safeguarding Lead, or email info@nationaleducation.college marking your message "Safeguarding — urgent". Concerns are handled confidentially and shared only with those who need to know.
You can also contact the NSPCC helpline on 0808 800 5000, Childline on 0800 1111, or your local authority safeguarding team.
If you have concerns about the conduct of a member of our staff, or about how a safeguarding concern has been handled, you can raise it under the Impact Futures Group business ethics statement. Concerns can be raised without fear of detriment.
