Accessibility statement

This website is run by the National College of Education, a trading name of Captiva Learning Limited. We are working towards conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 level AA.

We have designed the site so that you should be able to:

• navigate the whole site using a keyboard, with visible focus states;
• resize text up to 200% without content breaking or overlapping;
• read content with a screen reader, using proper headings and landmarks;
• read body text at a contrast ratio that meets AA requirements;
• use the site with reduced motion, respecting your system preference.

We know about the following and are working on them:

• Some embedded videos hosted on Vimeo do not have captions or a transcript. We are adding these to our testimonial library.
• Some downloadable PDF brochures were produced before this statement and may not be fully tagged for screen readers. We will provide an accessible alternative on request.
• Decorative background video on the home page is muted and non-essential, but it cannot currently be paused by the user.

Pages are checked against WCAG 2.2 AA using a combination of automated tooling and manual keyboard and screen reader testing during development. This statement is reviewed at least annually and whenever the site changes substantially.
