There are hundreds of apprenticeship standards on the Institute for Apprenticeships register, but a much smaller subset genuinely fits school life. This directory brings the most relevant ones into one place, grouped by the workforce priority they help you address.
How to read this directory
For each standard we show the level, a typical duration and the kind of role it fits best. Funding bands and off-the-job training hours change year on year, so always check the current position on the DfE's Find Apprenticeship Training service and confirm delivery models with your provider before you commit.

Planning your rota of standards
The most effective schools and trusts we work with plan their apprenticeship rota against their workforce plan rather than one hire at a time. Look ahead 18 to 36 months, identify the roles you will need to fill or strengthen, and map the standards that match. It also helps you spread the off-the-job training load across the year rather than concentrating it in one term.
If you would like a shortlist tailored to your setting, our team will happily work through your workforce plan with you and suggest the standards, cohorts and funding routes that fit best.
